Is sam witwicky dead. The Order of the Witwiccans are a group of humans who know of the presence of Transformers on Earth who work to keep their secret and who work to aid them. This seems to indicate that Sam Witwicky descendant of Archibald Witwicky has died since his last appearance. Perhaps during the Witwicky Incident mentioned in the interview covered in Hypnosifls answer pure speculation of course but it seems hes toast regardless.
Im merely speculating here but putting two and two together if Vivian is the last Witwicky that would mean that Sam is. So his character got killed off screen most probably. Burton then reveals that she is the last surviving heir of Merlin and therefore she is the only one who can use Merlins staff to stop the incoming attack from Cybertron.
If Vivian is the last surviving Witwicky that means Sam Witwicky is likely dead. If Vivian is the last surviving Witwicky that means Sam Witwicky is likely dead. Also to know is how did Sam Witwicky die.
